Court-supervised, treatment-based alternative to incarceration

A different approach to mental illness in the justice system.

"The Paulding County Mental Health Court is an 18-month program that offers a less costly, more effective alternative to incarceration."

Mental illness and criminal justice have traditionally operated as two separate systems — often at odds with each other. This court brings them together, offering individuals with documented mental health diagnoses a supervised, treatment-based path forward.

Participants receive intensive case management, regular court hearings, mental health treatment, and community support — not just accountability, but genuine help.
